Play 1

If a shopper:

i) Adds items to their basket

ii) Verifies for a discount

ii) Abandons checkout

Then: Email them with their abandoned cart contents and include their specific discount within that email.

Example:

Hey Elliott,

You left this in your basket. Don’t forget to use your exclusive student discount when you purchase, and you can save 20% on your order with us.

CTA: Claim my 20% discount and checkout.

InsightInclude the discount within the subject line of your abandon cart email. It will improve your open rates and subsequently improve your conversion rates.

Play 2

If a shopper:

i) Adds items to their basket and

ii) Starts, but does not complete, verification for a discount

iii) Abandons checkout

Then: Email then with their abandoned cart content and incentivise them to complete their discount verification.

Example:

Hey Elliott,

You started your student discount verification, but you didn’t complete it. Verify your student status and use your 20% student discount on your basket!

CTA: Verify my student status and checkout.
